Brand Story
Founded in 1862 (the first year of the Tongzhi reign) by the Meng family from Zhangqiu, Shandong, Ruifuxiang established its flagship store on Dashilan Street in Beijing. It specialized in fine silks from Suzhou and Hangzhou, furs, and woolen fabrics, adhering to the principle of 'utmost sincerity and genuine goods at fair prices.' In 1949, the first Five-Star Red Flag hoisted over Tiananmen Square was made from fabric supplied by Ruifuxiang. In 2006, it was listed among the first batch of China Time-honored Brands, cementing its legacy as a symbol of modern Chinese textile retail.
