By the Daoguang era, it had become one of Wuhan's most renowned medicine shops, ranking alongside Beijing's Tongrentang, Hangzhou's Huqingyutang, and Guangzhou's Chen Liji as one of China's Four Great Medicine Houses. Yekaitai upheld the principles of 'devout preparation and fair dealing,' sourcing premium herbs and following ancient processing methods. Its signature remedies, such as Shengui Lurong Wan and Babao Oil, gained fame both at home and abroad. During the War of Resistance, Yekaitai donated medicines to soldiers, embodying a deep sense of patriotism. After 1956, it merged into Wuhan Jianmin Pharmaceutical, yet its legacy endures.
