Brand Story
Fengpai traces its roots to Yunnan Dianhong Group, with a history dating back to 1939 (the 28th year of the Republic of China). To support the war effort and earn foreign exchange, the China Tea Company sent Mr. Feng Shaoqiu to Shunning (now Fengqing) in Yunnan to trial-produce black tea. Using fresh leaves from local large-leaf tea varieties, Feng successfully created 'Dianhong,' pioneering Yunnan's black tea history. After the founding of New China, the Shunning Experimental Tea Factory was renamed Fengqing Tea Factory, becoming the main production base for Dianhong. In the 1980s, the factory registered the 'Fengpai' trademark, inspired by the Fengqing place name and the phoenix imagery, symbolizing auspiciousness and quality. Fengpai adheres to traditional techniques, and its 'Classic 58' series has become a representative Dianhong product, winning numerous domestic and international awards. In 2014, the Dianhong tea-making craft was inscribed in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage list. As a bearer of this heritage, Fengpai continues the craftsmanship spirit of pioneers like Feng Shaoqiu, spreading Dianhong culture worldwide.
