Brand Story
Gujing Gong's history dates back to the late Eastern Han Dynasty, when Cao Cao presented his hometown's 'Jiuyun Chun' wine to Emperor Xian, detailing its brewing method. This marked the beginning of Bozhou's tribute wines. During the Ming Dynasty's Wanli era, a well in Jian Dian Ji produced exceptionally pure water, leading to superior liquor that was designated as a tribute, thus earning the name 'Gujing Gong.' In the Qing Dynasty, the wine's fame spread widely. After 1949, the state-owned Gujing Distillery was established in 1959, preserving and refining traditional techniques. Today, Gujing Gong is a national famous liquor, and its brewing craft is listed as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage, symbolizing Bozhou's rich wine culture and centuries of brewing wisdom.
