Hongli Red Rice Wine originates from Shunde, Guangdong, with a history dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties. According to the Shunde County Gazetteer, local brewing was already substantial in the Ming dynasty and flourished in the Qing. In 1953, the Shunde County Distillery was established, later renamed Guangdong Shunde Distillery, becoming the core enterprise of the Hongli brand. Using high-quality local rice and red rice, the wine is crafted through traditional xiaoqu (small starter) fermentation, combined with modern techniques, resulting in a mellow body and pure rice aroma.
