In 1958, Chairman Mao Zedong visited and praised the stinky tofu, saying, 'The stinky tofu at Huogongdian is really delicious,' catapulting its fame. Huogongdian not only preserves Changsha's culinary memories but also epitomizes Huxiang folk culture. Its architecture blends temple and marketplace, and the annual Fire God festival attracts many visitors, showcasing the fusion of traditional beliefs and food culture.
