Brand Story
Jingzhi Distillery, located in Jingzhi Town, Anqiu City, Shandong Province, traces its brewing history to the Song Dynasty (960-1279 AD). Archaeological finds of Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368) wine vessels attest to its ancient traditions. During the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1911), numerous workshops flourished, giving rise to the name 'Jingzhi liquor'. In 1948, the People's Government consolidated these workshops into the 'Jingzhi Distillery', making it a representative of Shandong liquors. In 1957, a distinctive sesame aroma was discovered, and after decades of research, 'Sesame-Flavor Type' was officially established as an independent baijiu category in 1996, filling a domestic gap. Jingzhi liquor carries the rich wine culture of Qilu, and its brewing techniques are listed as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage, making it a living fossil of northern Chinese liquor culture.
