Brand Story
Tiechashan Distillery, located in Benxi, Liaoning, takes its name from the nearby Taoist mountain, Tiecha Mountain. According to local records, during the Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty (1875-1908), brewing workshops already existed in the area, using the waters of the Taizi River and high-quality sorghum to produce spirits through solid-state fermentation. These spirits were sold throughout the surrounding regions. During the Republic of China era (1912-1949), the workshops expanded, and their products reached all corners of Northeast China. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, the workshops were nationalized and became a local state-owned distillery, preserving traditional brewing methods. Tiechashan liquor is celebrated for its rich cellar aroma and mellow, refreshing taste, embodying the brewing culture and folk memories of eastern Liaoning. It stands as one of Liaoning's representative baijiu brands.
