The history of Yingjia Gongjiu dates back to 106 BC when Emperor Wu of Han toured Huoshan. Local officials presented him with fine wine, which pleased him greatly, leading to the name 'Yingjia' (meaning 'welcoming the emperor'). Since then, it became a tribute wine for successive dynasties, with brewing techniques passed down through generations in Huoshan. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, Yingjia wineries flourished, known for their 'qujiu' (starter-fermented liquor). In 1955, the Huoshan County State-owned Distillery was established, later renamed Anhui Yingjia Gongjiu Co., Ltd., blending traditional methods with modern technology to develop an 'eco-brewing' philosophy. Utilizing the unpolluted water of the Dabie Mountains and a five-grain recipe, the wine undergoes fermentation in aged mud pits and long-term storage, resulting in a mellow and lingering flavor. The brand embodies a thousand-year heritage of hospitality, symbolizing 'welcoming guests and honoring the world,' and stands as a representative of Anhui's baijiu.
