Brand Story

Yin Jia traces its origins to Shengjing (now Shenyang) in the Qing Dynasty, founded by a Manchu chef named Yin. The family's culinary legacy began when an ancestor served as head cook in the residence of the Shengjing General, mastering the essence of Manchu cuisine. During the Daoguang reign (1821-1850), descendants opened a restaurant specializing in traditional Manchu dishes such as white meat with blood sausage and sachima. Known for meticulous ingredient selection and precise cooking, it became a renowned establishment in Shengjing. In the Republican era, the third generation blended local Guandong flavors to create signature dishes like Yin Jia Braised Pork Ribs. Through wars and changes, the craft has been passed down orally for six generations. Yin Jia not only preserves the original Manchu culinary style but also witnesses the fusion of diverse food cultures in the Liaoshen region. Today, the old shop still adheres to ancient methods, serving as a living example for studying Manchu and Han culinary traditions.
