Brand Story
The history of Zhu Ye Qing can be traced back to the Northern and Southern Dynasties. In 565 AD, Emperor Wucheng of Northern Qi, Gao Zhan, recommended 'Zhu Ye Qing' liquor in a letter to Prince Xiaoyu of Henan, as recorded in the Book of Northern Qi. This is the earliest written record of the liquor. During the Tang and Song dynasties, it was praised by literati such as Bai Juyi and Su Shi. In the Ming and Qing dynasties, the brewing industry in Xinghuacun, Fenyang, Shanxi, flourished, and Zhu Ye Qing became a renowned product of the Fenjiu series. In the late Qing and early Republic era, traditional workshops like 'Yiquanyong' refined the craft, using high-quality Fenjiu as a base and infusing it with over a dozen precious herbs such as angelica, amomum, and sandalwood. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, the recipe and techniques were systematically preserved by Shanxi Xinghuacun Fenjiu Distillery Co., Ltd., making it a treasure of Chinese liquor culture. Zhu Ye Qing embodies the wisdom of 'wine and medicine sharing the same origin' and the aesthetic pursuit of elegance.
