By the Guangxu period (1875-1908), the Dongyin winery had grown considerably, with products sold as far as Shanghai and Hangzhou. During the Republic of China era, Dongyin wine was exhibited at expos as a regional specialty and received acclaim. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, the Dongyin winery was integrated into a local state-owned distillery, preserving its techniques. Today, Dongyin continues to adhere to traditional methods, standing as a representative of Zhejiang's wine culture.
